It's finally here!
After working for months, MPP Dong's private members bill - Bill 109, The Reliable Elevators Act, has become part of a government action plan to maintain its strong safety record and increase elevator accessibility.
The new action plan was announced on January 25.

The government commissioned an independent study to examine the issue of elevator availability and propose solutions, which was conducted by the Honourable J. Douglas Cunningham. The action plan addresses all of the 19 recommendations proposed in the final report.
